In 2012 while visiting my hometown of Hermosillo Sonora I had the opportunity of attending a meeting with a group of children that my brother Alejandro and a group of people had created.
This group of about 20 children between the ages of three and twelve years old live in one of the poorest areas of the city. Here they are exposed to all kinds of abuse and neglecting imaginable more specifically drugs and sexual abuse.
It was in 2012 while I was visiting, that my brother and I came out with the idea of doing something for these children, of offering them an opportunity to improve their lives and giving them chances to overcome the obstacles of what seems to be an inevitable future full of sorrows, tragedy and poverty.
Our plan is to offer this children the hope of a better future with the opportunity of education through incentives and scholarships and the creation of a youth center that can be used by the many volunteers and that can be a safe haven for many of the children, there is also the existing rehabilitation center for drug abuse that is in desperate need of resources and space.
The reality is that the needs are many and at times it can be overwhelming but somebody has to do something, and this is my try.
if you can help in any way, please let us know.
